Present status of theory for synthesis of Super-Heavy Element (SHE) is reported, based on the compound nucleus reaction. Specific aspects are discussed in fusion and survival probabilities. They are the hindrance of fusion in the former and the fragility of the compound nucleus in the latter. Examples of applications are given.
