Recently CRPropa 2.0 has been released as a public software package to simulate the extragalactic propagation of ultra-high energy nuclei. It includes deflections by extragalactic magnetic fields and all relevant interactions with ambient photon backgrounds. Furthermore it provides the possibility to track secondary γ-rays and neutrinos produced in the different reactions. This allows for the investigation of their connection with the primary nuclei, the so called multi-messenger approach. In this paper CRPropa 2.0 is introduced, its different components are discussed and two example applications are presented.
