We study the deuteron-like correlation of the valence proton and neutron with the T = 0 channel in 18F using an efficient calculational formalism; the cluster-orbital shell model approach. In this study, we show a particular configuration [j1 ⊗ j2]TJ = [d5/2 ⊗ d3/2]01 is the key ingredient for the T = 0 pair formation. Also, the continuum contributions plays an important role of the spatial correlation of the proton and neutron.
