In this work we present the verification of the unresolved resonance range treatment implementation in the Monte Carlo code TRIPOLI-5®, which relies on probability tables. For this purpose, we perform extensive code-to-code comparisons with respect to TRIPOLI-4® and OpenMC using two probability tables models (PURR and CALENDF), on a set of benchmark configurations. These tests allow on one hand verifying TRIPOLI-5® and on the other hand analyzing a number of discrepancies related both to the use of different probability tables models and more generally to the handling of nuclear data in the Monte Carlo codes.
