We present resonant waveguide-grating (RWG) tailored for lasers operating at the 2-µm wavelength range. Utilizing the RWG as a cavity mirror, generation of tunable narrow-bandwidth and linearly-polarized radiation from a Ho:YAG thin-disk laser was demonstrated.
