We aim to measure circular polarization of γ-rays emitted from neutron capture reactions with a pulsed neutron source for nuclear data and nuclear physics studies. A γ-ray polarimeter was developed to measure the circular polarization. One of performance indicators for polarimeter is an analyzing power known as efficiency in the polarization measurement. The analyzing power is necessary to convert the experimental results to circular polarization. Therefore, the analyzing power was evaluated using the neutron capture reactions of sulfur-32 at the neutron time-of-flight facility, and obtained to be (1.82 ± 0.28)% at 5.4-MeV γ-rays.
