The main objective of the present contribution is to describe 162Dy within the Semimicroscopic Algebraic Cluster Model for heavy nuclei (SACMh), intentionally using an simple Hamiltonian in an SU(3) limit in order to provide a clear insigt into the basic structure of 162Dy. It is shown that an important ingredient is not only the Hamiltonian but more importantly the Hilbert space, taken as the shell model space. For heavy nuclei the pseudo-SU(3) model (SŨ(3)) is applied. The spectrum and B(E2)-transitions are reproduced. Of particular interest is the 0+ spectrum. It is shown that by knowing the content of the SŨ(3), the 0+ spectrum is understood including its multiplicities. In particular, the 0+ spectrum is described fairly well up to the clustering of 0+ states.
