EPJ ST Special Issue: Frontier 24: New Perspectives on the Intersection of Elementary Particle and Astroparticle Physics and Dark Matter Physics

Guest Editors: B. Ananthanarayan, Biplob Bhattacherjee, Sudhir K. Vempati

The fields of elementary particle physics and astroparticle physics and cosmology have increasingly enriched one another, with models from one field feeding into the others, and also offering constraints on models. Dark matter, dark energy continue to be some of the most important puzzles confronting these subjects especially at their intersections. These fields are growing rapidly and are of great interest also to young and mature researchers.

A collection of articles on these topics was inspired by a recent meeting that took place in the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore which brought together over a 100 researchers. Many of them will be contributing to the issue that is being planned based on the ideas and discussions that took place at the meeting. Furthermore, the editors of this collection would like to invite all researchers and workers in the field to contribute mini-reviews, overview talks as well as original research articles that fit into the rubric of this collection. When submitting the article, authors should clearly state the category and also how their article would enrich the collection.

Submission deadline: 30 June 2025

Articles should be submitted to the Editorial Office of EPJ ST via the submission system, and should be clearly identified as intended for the topical issue “Frontier 24: New Perspectives on the Intersection of Elementary Particle and Astroparticle Physics and Dark Matter Physics”.

Submissions should follow the guidelines of EPJ Special Topics, which can be found here. For the preparation of the manuscripts a special latex template (preferably single-column layout) is available here.

Open Access: If the CORRESPONDING author is affiliated to an institute that has an Open Access agreement with Springer, the OA publication - if verified - is paid by the agreement partner. All OA agreements are listed with more details here. Eligibility will be automatically verified when the corresponding author is requested to complete the relevant affiliation information after acceptance of the paper during the production process. Corresponding authors not affiliated to institutes with Open Access Agreements are redirected to proceed with “Please select your publishing model” and have to decide between paying the current Open Access fee - for details see How to publish with us | The European Physical Journal Special Topics (springer.com)and Open Choice programme) - or choosing the subscription option without any publication charges.

This was our first experience of publishing with EPJ Web of Conferences. We contacted the publisher in the middle of September, just one month prior to the Conference, but everything went through smoothly. We have had published MNPS Proceedings with different publishers in the past, and would like to tell that the EPJ Web of Conferences team was probably the best, very quick, helpful and interactive. Typically, we were getting responses from EPJ Web of Conferences team within less than an hour and have had help at every production stage.
We are very thankful to Solange Guenot, Web of Conferences Publishing Editor, and Isabelle Houlbert, Web of Conferences Production Editor, for their support. These ladies are top-level professionals, who made a great contribution to the success of this issue. We are fully satisfied with the publication of the Conference Proceedings and are looking forward to further cooperation. The publication was very fast, easy and of high quality. My colleagues and I strongly recommend EPJ Web of Conferences to anyone, who is interested in quick high-quality publication of conference proceedings.
