EPJ Web of Conferences Highlight - CHEP2021: Computing in High Energy and Nuclear Physics

The 25th edition of the Computing in High Energy and Nuclear Physics (CHEP) conference took place as a special virtual event, organised by CERN, from 17th to 21st May 2021.
The CHEP conference series has run for more than 3 decades and brings together physicists, software engineers and computing experts from major experiments, laboratories and facilities.

We are proud to highlight that EPJ Web of Conferences, the open access platform devoted to the publication of scientific conference proceedings, has received outstanding feedback from conference organisers regarding publication times in 2020. Indeed, for many, this is now one of the main reasons for choosing EPJ Web of Conferences.
We strive to publish proceedings quickly to enable the dissemination and discovery of research amongst the academic community. On average, we publish proceedings online within just 2 weeks for standard conferences and 3 to 4 weeks for larger conferences (involving around 200 papers). These are excellent turnaround times and a testament to our efficient processes, dedicated and responsive team, and understanding of our partners’ needs.

The CHEP conferences address the computing, networking and software issues for the world’s leading data‐intensive science experiments that currently analyse hundreds of petabytes of data using worldwide computing resources.
The 24th International Conference on Computing in High Energy and Nuclear Physics (CHEP 2019), took place at the Adelaide Convention Centre in Adelaide, South Australia from 4–8 November 2019.

EPJ Web of Conferences now provides online references, which are directly linked to the cited articles, via CrossRef. This allows the readers to move from one article to another at the citation level, regardless of journal or publisher.

EPJ Web of Conferences adopts the Creative Commons Attribution License

Up to now, EPJ Web of Conferences contents were published under the Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial license. We are pleased to announce that the journal won’t restrict the commercial use of its contents any more. As a result, all open access contents at EPJ Web of Conferences will be published under the Creative Commons Attribution license, which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited. The copyright will remain with the authors.

EPJ Web of Conferences is indexed in the Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), Inspec and Conference Proceedings Citation Index (Web of Science) bibliographic databases.
- Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) monitors, indexes, and abstracts the world's chemistry-related literature and patents. These databases offer many scientific disciplines, including chemistry, biomedical sciences, engineering, materials science, physics, and more.
- Inspec is the IEE's comprehensive index to literature in physics, electrical/electronic technology, computing, control engineering and information technology.
